ARTHUR CHARLES FRANZ 1931 - 2010 We are saddened to announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, and Great-grandfather, Arthur Charles Franz, born September 25, 1931, of Camp Morton at the Selkirk and District General Hospital on Thursday, August 26, 2010. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 54 years, Bernice, mother-in-law Rose Graboski, daughter Debbie, sons, Daryl (Bernice), Darcy (Sandra), and Dwight (Bonnie). Grandchildren, Amanda, Rod, Chad, Justin, Kirstyn, Jake, Travis, Fallyn, Aly, Tim, and Shae and great-grandchildren, Zachary, Noah, Mason, Vaeda, Saede, and Faith. Also brother Jim (Jean), sisters Elsie and Norma (Paul), sister-in-law Eleanor (Stanley) and brother-in-law Ed and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, father-in-law, sister Florence, and brothers-in-law Adam and Bill. Art who was also known as Tiny enjoyed the outdoors by hunting and fishing whenever possible. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren looked forward to going fishing with Grandpa Art. Nothing perked him up like the challenge of a good game of crib. The entire family would like to thank the staff of the Selkirk and District General Hospital. The nurses on the dialysis unit treated both Arthur and Bernice with caring and empathy which was always mixed with humour. We regret that he was unable to fulfill his dream of seeing the opening of the new dialysis unit at Gimli. Cremation has taken place and funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Gimli, Manitoba. If anyone wishes to make a donation in memory of Art, the family would like you to consider the Kidney Foundation, 452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3Y 1G4 or another charity of your choice. As well those who wish to may send condolences to www.nbardal.mb.ca . NEIL BARDAL INC. FUNERAL CENTRE (204) 949-2200 IN GIMLI (204)642-7124 nbardal.mb.ca
